Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas and A Blessed New Year from Dyanne Davis

Dear Reader:

I want to thank you for staying with me and waiting patiently for my next release. Many things have happened since I last wrote and I would like to share a few of them with you. The 2006 year will be filled stories from me, and I thank God for the opportunity to share them with you. I will be alerting you closer to the dates of other things that are happening with me so please stay tuned.

Don’t you just love the cover of my next Release, Misty Blue? Misty Blue will be released in May of 2006. If you’ve read The Wedding Gown I’m sure you knew that Mia and Damien’s story was coming. I have an excerpt on my site if you would like a sneak peek.

I hope you will enjoy reading Mia and Damien’s story as much as I enjoyed writing it. I was amazed to learn of the pain in both of their lives and listened with interest as they told me their stories. They both had suffered a lot so much so that I couldn’t help but cry for them. Regardless of how their love first began I’m thrilled that they were able to find each other. I wish them much happiness in their future together.

I will have a second release from Genesis-Press in December of 2006 and two in 2007. I will tell you more about those as it gets closer to the date.

In the meantime I am starting a new contest. I will be giving away one signed copy of Misty Blue to five winners. (or if you win and would rather have one of my older books I will substitute that as well)

I will draw a new winner at the end of each month beginning at the end of January. The winner will be drawn from those that send in their email and snail mail address.

This time there will be a tiny condition attached but you will be able to handle it. I love reading comments from everyone so this is the condition. You have to sign my guest book right here on my website and go to my blog where you can easily get to it from the link right here on my website and say hello. I’m only doing this because I enjoy visitors.

Now I want to take the time to wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year. Take care of yourselves.

Rita

On the heels of Hurricane Katrina Rita came and brought more devastation to Louisiana and parts of Texas. My family would like to offer condolences to the families that were affected and lost family and friends during these tragedies. Our prayers will be on going.

HURRICANE KATRINA

I wish to offer my deepest condolences to everyone who has lost someone due to Hurricane Katrina. My prayers go along with those of millions that are praying that families will soon be reunited and that the spirit of Giving that is apparent now will last throughout the crisis.

There are many organizations that are collecting donations of food, clothing and money for the victims. If you're in need of a place to give, the genesis press family was personally touched. You may email genesis if you wish to make a contribution. www.genesis-press.com.

Introduction

I suppose I should have started this blog by telling a little about myself and what it is that I do. My name is, Dyanne Davis and I am a Genesis Press author. On this blog there is a bookclub flyer with genesis -press website. Please pay them a visit and take a look at their catalogue. Genesis is one of the leaders in African American fiction and has been featuring interracial love stories years before other publishers decided it was a viable market. There has always been great talent from the inception of genesis. You may be surprised at the names as you scroll through.

Above is a picture I would like to share with you from Romance Slam Jam 2004 featuring some of the Genesis -press family and friends. Stephanie and George Pansy in the first picture, are newly weds and I wish them all the best.

Good News

I recently learned that, "The Wedding Gown" is a finalist in the Readers Choice poll conducted by Affaire de Coeur. It's truly an honor being named alongside such brilliant writers. And I'm thankful for being included on the list.

Earlier this year, "The Wedding Gown was a finalist for the Emma in two categories--Steamiest Romance and Book of the year.

I would like to thank all of the Readers who made this possible and for putting a perpetual smile on my face.
